What is your favorite sport to play?
I really enjoy swimming, and I’m a regular swimmer as well. I usually go swimming 2-3 times a week.
What is the most rewarding thing about being a teacher?
The most rewarding thing about being a teacher is to see the progress my students made under my help.
What is your favorite book & why?
There are so many books I love. One of my favorite books is “Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China” by Jung Chang. The book tells captivating stories of women from three generations in her own family, grandmother, mother and daughter, which reveals the whole tragic history of China’s twentieth century. I guess one of the reasons I’m absolutely fascinated by this book is because my father is one of the witnesses of that long nightmare and he used to tell me lots of stories about it, which I was not quite understand. The book totally unlocks the mysteries and helps me understand much better about the history of my own country.
What is your idea of a perfect day?
A perfect day for me would be lying on the beach, enjoy sunbathing while reading my books.
What is your favorite color?
I love various kinds of color, shiny, dark, and bright, you name it. I’m more about matching the right color.
What is your next travel destination?
I guess it would be Scotland. The school I’m working at just celebrated Robert Burn’s day, from which I’ve learnt a great deal about this great poet and his poems. The highland scenery depicted in his poems really captivated me and I hope to go one day.
What do you love about Chinese language?
I am fascinated by the rich cultures and values within Chinese characters, especially the evolution from oracle bone inscriptions to the characters these days.
How do you describe yourself?
I don’t know, my friend normally say I’m a nice, funny and interesting person. My colleagues usually consider me as a serious person. You’ll figure it out when you meet me.
